We recently heard the announcement that Trumbull County Auditor Adrian Biviano will retire at the end of his term and will not seek re-election. Mr. Biviano has done an excellent job serving the people of Trumbull County, and we wish him the very best in his future retirement.

Reports that current Trumbull County Recorder Tod Latell is seriously considering a run for the auditor’s office is welcomed news. As owner of Valley Title and Escrow Agency, Inc., we have worked with Recorder Latell and his staff since he took office in 2016. We have witnessed the way Mr. Latell operates his office and have been nothing short of impressed. Working daily with both the auditor’s and recorder’s offices through our real estate title company office, we believe Mr. Latell’s transition to auditor would be seamless. Tod Latell would continue to be a real asset to Trumbull County and maintain the integrity of his predecessor in the office of auditor.

In a time when there is so much worry about the direction we are moving in this world, it’s important to keep good people where we can. We may be losing an excellent official in Adrian Biviano, but we have an opportunity to keep the Trumbull County Auditor’s Office running smoothly under Tod Latell.
