Canfield Players present ‘Newsies’
Canfield High School’s Canfield Players will stage the musical “Disney’s Newsies” for four performances.
The musical is based loosely on the true story of a newsboys’ strike in New York in 1899 after newspaper mogul Joseph Pulitzer raised the price of his newspapers. The cast includes Sachin Nallapaneni, Anthony Mazzella and Allyson Vernon.
Showtimes are 7 p.m. today, Friday and Saturday and 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the high school, 100 Cardinal Drive. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for students and are available at the door.
