Robins to present Lorrie Morgan concert
WARREN — Country singer Lorrie Morgan will perform Aug. 12 at the Robins Theatre.
Morgan had three No. 1 country singles — “Five Minutes,” “What Part of No” and “I Didn’t Know My Own Strength” — and 11 other top-10 hits between 1989 and 1997. She was a three-time Grammy nominee and won CMA Awards in 1990 for vocal event of the year for her duet with Keith Whitley on “Til a Tear Becomes a Rose” and 1994 for album of the year with “Common Thread.”
She is the first country female artist to start her career by releasing three consecutive platinum-selling albums, and she was inducted into the The Grand Ole Opry at age 27.
