The Mahoning Valley Historical Society is seeking teams for its eighth Amazing History Race.

For the scavenger-hunt-meets-road-trip event, teams will receive a set of clues at 5:30 p.m. Aug. 12 at the Tyler History Center, 325 Wick Ave., Youngstown, directing them to different historical sites throughout the Mahoning Valley. One “lifeline” call will be available to each team.

Once all sites are discovered and photographed with a smartphone or digital camera, teams will proceed to the finish line at the Arms Family Museum, 648 Wick Ave., Youngstown. The first team to correctly identify all six sites with the event staff wins the Amazing History Race 8 trophy.

An outdoor pizza party is planned after the race for all participants.
