Trio slated for YSU Alumni Recital

YOUNGSTOWN — Vocalist Rosie Bresson will perform in the next concert in Youngstown State University’s Alumni Recital Series.

Bresson, who graduated in the spring with a bachelor’s degree in musical theater, appeared in several University Theatre productions, including “Cabaret,” “Into the Woods” and “How I Learned to Drive.” While at YSU, the Canfield native also was a member of the Dance Ensemble, Honors College, Alpha Psi Omega, Jazz Ensemble, Concert Band and Horn Choir.

She will be backed by Jesse DeLorenzo and Daniel Mihelarakis.

DeLorenzo is a freelance percussionist and teacher who regularly plays drums with the Millennial Theatre Company. He also can be heard on the albums “Live My Life” by Highland Rose, “A Vision” by Honey Brother and “Isness” by Nick Frank. While at YSU, he performed with the YSU Wind Ensemble at Carnegie Hall and was a member of the Jazz Ensembles, Jazz Combos, YSU Marching Pride and Percussion Ensemble.

Mihelarakis is a multi-instrumentalist and composer from Coraopolis, Pa. He is a senior studying music composition at YSU.

The prerecorded performance premieres at 7:30 p.m. Saturday on the YouTube channels of Cliffe College and the McDonough Museum of Art.
