Instead of bringing hundreds of thousands of visitors to Point State Park and downtown Pittsburgh over the next 10 days, Three Rivers Arts Festival is offering a virtual event that will include some of the same elements.

According to organizers, the goal is to shine a light on 500 artists and community partners taking part and to deliver a memorable event.

More than 350 artists will have individual web pages on the site where visitors can see photos, a description of their work and contact information for purchasing art.

Performance videos featuring artists who would have been appearing at the event will be available to stream at any time, and concerts will be livestreamed at 7:30 p.m. daily on the Dollar Bank Digital Main Stage. The lineup includes:

• Friday — Josh Verbanets & Rick Sebak with musical guests

• Saturday — Buffalo Rose and Inez

• Sunday — Dance Battle 5 with DJ Inception

• Monday — holding pattern, a dance for film created by slow danger

• Tuesday — Thomas Wendt Quintet

• Wednesday — Social Justice Disco with Liz Berlin & Phat Man Dee featuring Deryck Tines and HollyHood

• June 11 — Byron Nash & Brittney Chantele

• June 12 — Liberty Magic @ Home with Derek Hughes and Nathan Christopher

• June 13 — Phillter Music Showcase

• June 14 — Meeting of Important People

Visual and interactive art offerings include: “Compass Roses: Maps by Artists,” a selection of maps created by 20 visual, literary and performing artists; “Transverse,” a juried exhibition featuring 51 works from 40 artists exploring ideas about altered realities, utopias and challenging the status quo; and “The Anthropology of Motherhood: Culture of Care,” 10 artists exploring motherhood.

A Giant Eagle Creativity Zone will have hands-on activities and artist demonstrations geared toward kids and adults.

The virtual festival grounds will be open Friday through June 14 at TrustArts.org/TRAF.
