Look at Trump’s Field of Dreams

DEAR EDITOR:

“If you build it, he will come.” The question is, can today’s average voter perceive the intellect of their architect?

Remembering the 1989 movie “Field of Dreams,” Kevin Costner is a farmer who builds a baseball field in his cornfield that attracts the ghosts of baseball’s legends.

The location, Iowa, means they appear our of corn stalks — Archie “Moonlight” Graham, “Shoeless Joe” Jackson, Buck Weaver, Chick Gandil, Eddie Cicotte, and Swede Risberg.

Let us reflect on another “field of dreams” trying to build on our soil today.

On Jan. 5, 2024, former president Donald Trump campaigned in Sioux City, Iowa, the first event of the 2024 election year.

From the display of his last presidency, we can imagine his selection of star players. Appearing out of rows of cornstalks, the figures of past totalitarian leaders in fascism around the world.

Germany’s Third Reich, Adolf Hitler, the Italian pioneer of fascism, Benito Mussolini, and the Soviet band of communism (the so-called enemies of the people), Joseph Stalin.

This architect truly understands that most voters usually think right or left on politics, however a smaller percentage of voters have a thirds side, the ability to understand the architect, having a design for our future.
