Do you believe in American democracy?

DEAR EDITOR:

Most of my white friends (I’m white) describe the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. as a troublemaker.

My response to that is that all he ever did was go all over our America preaching the Constitution of the United States of America — rights of equality for all with no exceptions, with liberties, freedoms and justice for all.

That’s why Republican President Abraham Lincoln, who freed all the black slaves to make them Americans, and Martin Luther King Jr. were assassinated. They both loved and believed in America’s democracy.

Do you? I’m just asking.
