The Senate must investigate charges

DEAR EDITOR:

This is in response to a Dec. 8 letter from William E. Heston titled, “Democrats make fools of themselves.”

The Adam Schiff impeachment inquiry is over, Mr. Heston said. None of the witnesses said the President did anything wrong. These were not fans of the President.

Nicolle Wallace had a different take: His own White House staff, his own political appointees and U.S. ambassadors witness “Against the demands of the President.”

Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman said it was improper for the president to demand a foreign government to investigate a U.S. citizen and a political opponent.

Ambassador Gordon Sondland gave $100,000 to the Trump campaign. Not a fan? Everyone was in the loop, he testified. Everyone was informed before the call.

We agree on one thing. Mr. Heston hoped the House passes an impeachment to the Senate. So did I. I want to see the Republican Senators “investigate” this.
