Hospital names Belmont Buddies Award recipients

YOUNGSTOWN — Belmont Pines Hospital recently announced the launch of their inaugural Belmont Buddies Awards. Belmont Buddies recipients are regional community organizations that provide opportunities for children and adolescents to experience safe and nurturing summer experiences. CEMETERY TOUR: There will be a walking tour of Riverside Cemetery in Poland at 7 p.m. Wednesday. The tour will include stops at several gravesites where reenactors will tell their stories. Meet at the cemetery chapel. This event is free, but donations to the Poland Historical Society are welcome. MCDONALD HOMECOMING FESTIVAL: McDonald will host its annual summer homecoming festival Wednesday through Friday at Woodland Park off Ohio Avenue 6 to 11 p.m nightly. The festival will include bingo, amusement rides, games, food vendors and entertainment. The Run of the Mill race will be at 5:45 p.m. Wednesday followed by a parade at 6 p.m. along Ohio Avenue. On Saturday, there will be games and activities for children starting at 11 a.m. Fireworks will be at 10:15 p.m. Saturday to close the festival.
