Butler lecture looks at religious art

“Religious Themes in World Art: A Personal Selection” is the topic of the next Director’s Series Lecture at the Butler Institute of American Art, 524 Wick Ave., Youngstown.

Art through the centuries has been inspired by the spiritual from Leonardo DaVinci to Salvadore Dali. Executive Director Louis A. Zona will talk about works representing religious themes in world art.

The program starts at 2 p.m. Sunday in Zona Auditorium. Admission is free. Overflow parking will be available in the Youngstown State University F-1 lot across from Butler North.
