Art on Park hosts journal workshop
A workshop on “The Stories We Tell: An Introduction to Altered Books and Visual Journaling” will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Art on Park, 180 N Park Ave, Warren.
Mary K. Riley will teach participants how to deconstruct and prepare books for the new stories they will tell. The one-day workshop will cover the basics of altered books, preparation and mixed media that help people process and maybe even turn the page on some chapters of their lives. Participants should come prepared to write, dig deep and be open to new experiences.
