St. Pat parishioners should move forward

DEAR EDITOR: I am writing this letter as a parishioner at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Hubbard. No reminder is needed to recall how we all suffered through the pandemic. In many places, religious events, including in-person worship services, were banned. And then St. Pat’s lost its church due to a significant fire in January 2021. For the next 38 months we met as a congregation in our Parish Center building, truly a gymnasium. But our congregation remained vibrant, alive and strong. Where are the Democrats’ ideas?

DEAR EDITOR: The country is $37 trillion in debt and politicians of both parties have talked about the deficit since President Ronald Reagan decades ago but nothing has ever been done. While anybody in congress could have started changing things nobody did. Now that somebody has been elected to do something, everybody is trying to block somebody’s efforts. Medical research is worth the cost

DEAR EDITOR: I found Vaughn Smider’s article in The Vindicator very interesting, but at the same time very upsetting. Vaughn Smider is a former Jackson-Milton graduate who now does biomedical research. His laboratory studies antibodies which are the molecules in our blood that fight infection. He does research for all diseases, including Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, heart disease, cancer and many more. His research is funded by NIH, which is now being taken away by DOGE.
