DEAR EDITOR: It’s time to be angry that the president wants to shrink government. It sounded good to President Trump’s supporters when he was on the campaign trail. But it’s not so great. We have long been the richest nation on Earth. At the end of Joe Biden’s presidency, our GDP totaled about $27 trillion. China, ranking second, had about $17 trillion.
