Loan forgiveness was just one lie from Dems

DEAR EDITOR:

Joe Biden made a national promise to forgive student loans up to $10,000.

When did you first hear that announcement? It was a few months before mid-term elections. Now, months after the election, when was the last time you heard about it? Yep, just before the election. Why? I hate to admit, but it was a good election ploy. Knowing full well the president of the United States can’t legally forgive loans from private financial institutions, the DNC counted on one thing: there are enough stupid Americans who would vote for Democrats hoping to get loans forgiven. It worked.

Now, several months later there’s nary been mentions of the topic and we, the people, are still stuck in 7-plus-percent inflation, getting radical energy policies and trans-woke ideals shoved down our throats, along with, now a nuclear threat from Russia. Also, OPEC will reduce oil production by a half- million barrels per day until the end of the year. More trinkets going on today, that many people don’t realize are benefitting Democrats are crime offenders being given little to no punishment or crimes not prosecuted at all, making illegal drugs legal or ignoring that problem. All these happenings benefit Democrats because, as with the loan forgiveness ploy, those that benefit with non-enforcement of said occurrences will more than likely continue to vote for the DNC.

Another huge force in the DNC’s back pocket is national media, which spews partial and half-truths and on occasion lies and / or deters from certain subjects.

Now the topic has switched to national debt. Here are a few facts to help clear the air. Article I, section 8, clause I of the Constitution gives the House of Representatives power to collect taxes and pay debts. The president’s duty is to impose their decision (Article II, section 3). The 14th Amendment, section 4, does not give the president power to use said funds at will. It was instituted in 1868 to deal with items and actions pertaining to the Civil War aftermath. Social Security, Medicare and V.A. benefits all are considered mandatory spending and are paid from each program’s trust fund, thus the payments will continue uninterrupted. Other agencies that will not shut down are: FBI, the Federal Bureau of Prisons, DEA and Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, Homeland Security, customs and Border Protection, the Transportation Security Administration, and The D.O.D. Read the Constitution of The United States, and you’ll see the lies being portrayed.
