We shouldn’t let viruses take over our lives

DEAR EDITOR:

What do the common cold, the flu and COVID-19 have in common? The symptoms for each include fever, irritated nose or scratchy throat, sneezing, watery green or yellow nasal discharge, coughing, muscle aches, headaches, postnasal drip and difficulty breathing.

There are more than 200 different viruses, with rhinoviruses being most common — an upper respiratory viral infection. These are airborne viruses. Annual U.S. cases are about 1 billion. Annual U.S. flu cases are estimated at 35.5 million.

The common cold has been here for decades. We have over-the-counter remedies that can relieve symptoms, like coricidin for cough and cold.

The COVID-19 vaccines are being used to take away our rights to work if people don’t get their shots.

How can they use test kits to figure out if you have the common cold, flu or COVID-19 virus?

They are using these viruses against us. We have been lied to for two years. Don’t let it take over your life.
