We have right to be free from evil-doers

DEAR EDITOR:

Regarding these protests, Martin Luther King Jr. never burned down businesses or mistreated police, even when President Lyndon Johnson had him arrested! He brought us together in peaceful marches, not the way the people today are doing it, lying to young people that all police are bad and should be destroyed.

If black lives matter, why are the black businesses burning and being destroyed?

More African-American police are serving their cities. They are being attacked when mayors won’t even let police protect their city businesses, making them stand down. This started in 2014.

Martin Luther King Jr. was attacked by people who didn’t believe in his dream that both races could come together as one voice against wrong during crimes against life and livelihoods.

When will Americans wake up and realize we can’t let lies and looters, gangs and the press destroy our great nation? We need to stand together and fight and protect each other from the evils that want to destroy our country.

We have the right to own a business, the right to become a police officer and the right to be free from evil-doers that want to take everything from us.
