WHAT: Board of education meeting Wednesday

The board:

l Reported at the Sept. 6 varsity football game the public was able to see the completion of the fifth phase of McDonald stadium. The latest renovation project has added a new concession stand, restrooms and a ticket booth to the facility. Superintendent Kevin O’Connell said the project, which had begun in 2021, was completed in phases to ensure the stadium remained functional throughout the construction process.

l Reported work is continuing on a new roof at the high school. Boak and Sons Inc. was previously hired at $391,506 for replacement and repairs to certain areas of the school’s flat roof. Work began in July and started over the high school classrooms and then moved above the gymnasium.

l Hired Hayden Mason as an elementary Title 1 tutor at $25 per hour at 28.75 hours per week.
