DEAR EDITOR:

I am proud to be writing today in support of Thomas Summers for Democratic State Central Committee for Senate District 32.

Summers is the young endorsed Democratic candidate for the post. As we approach the May 5 primary, I ask that you join me in voting to retain him.

Summers got involved in politics while still in high school because in 2016, he recognized that our democracy and our Constitution were under threat, and he mobilized and stayed involved. He was an intern at the local Democratic headquarters while he studied political science at Youngstown State University, and he continued to stay involved while he was earning his law degree at Akron Law School.

Over the years, Summers has always supported Democrats and Democratic causes. He has always fought for Democrats who share our values, and when Republicans tried to take away the right to choose, he got to work to make sure that people’s rights were respected.

He has the experience and qualifications for this job. He is a former president of the Trumbull County Young Democrats and has been involved in county and state politics in a variety of roles for the past 10 years. He has done the hard work, and I am confident he will continue to fight for Democrats who will go on to fight for our shared values. It’s what he has always done.

Please vote to retain Summers for Democratic State Central Committee.
