Golfer dies in accident at park
BOARDMAN — Safety crews were called out Saturday morning after a man died following an accident at Mill Creek MetroParks.
The Boardman Fire Department and several ambulances responded to a call at 10 a.m. that a man died near the 17th hole at the north golf course at the park.
In addition to Boardman fire, the Mahoning County coroner’s office was also called to the scene.
Reports state a second golfer also was injured in the accident.
Mill Creek MetroParks officials could not be reached for comment over the weekend, and the Boardman Fire Department did not release any further details.
