Bishop Bonnar announces new parish, priest assignments

YOUNGSTOWN — Bishop David Bonnar of the Diocese of Youngstown has made the following parish and priest assignments, effective immediately:

• The Rev. Martin Celuch, service completed as pastor of St. Luke Parish, Boardman, while retaining current responsibilities as pastor of Holy Family Parish, Poland, and diocesan judicial vicar.

• The Rev. Philip Rogers, from pastor of St. Charles Borromeo Parish in Boardman to pastor of Christ Our Savior Parish in Struthers in addition to his responsibility as dean of Mahoning South Deanery.

• Monsignor John Zuraw, from pastor of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish, Niles, to pastor of St. Charles Borromeo Parish, Boardman, and St. Luke Parish, Boardman, in addition to current responsibilities as diocesan vicar general, chancellor, and diocesan tribunal.

• The Rev. Michael Balash, as administrator pro-tem of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish, Niles, in addition to current responsibilities as vicar for clergy, director of Office of Worship, and pastor of St. William Parish, Champion.

• The Rev. Matthew Humerickhouse, as parochial vicar at St. Luke Parish, Boardman, in addition to current responsibilities as parochial vicar at St. Charles Borromeo Parish, Boardman, and chaplain at Cardinal Mooney High School.

• The Rev. Edward Gretchko, as sacramental minister at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish, Niles.

• The Rev. Donald King, as interim president of Stark County Catholic Schools. King was the longtime pastor at Blessed Sacrament Parish in Warren.

• Deacon Michael Kocjancic, service to St. Luke Parish, Boardman, in addition to current responsibilities at St. Charles Borromeo Parish, Boardman.

• Deacon Paul Lisko, service to St. Luke Parish, Boardman, in addition to current responsibilities at St. Charles Borromeo Parish, Boardman.

• Deacon Robert Redig, service to St. Charles Borromeo Parish, Boardman, in addition to current responsibilities at St. Luke Parish, Boardman.

• Deacon Ray Hatala, service completed at St, Luke Parish, Boardman, with continuing service at Holy Family Parish, Poland.

• Deacon Andrew McDonald, service completed at St. Luke Parish, Boardman, with continuing service at Holy Family Parish, Poland.

In addition, Bishop Bonnar has named Sister Mary Alyce Koval, O.S.U, as pastoral associate at St. Charles Borromeo Parish, Boardman, in addition to current responsibilities as pastoral associate at St. Luke Parish, Boardman.
