YOUNGSTOWN — Darnell J. Williams, 31, was arraigned Wednesday in Youngstown Municipal Court on a rape charge accusing him of victimizing a child under age 13.

If convicted, Williams could get a life prison sentence. His offense is alleged to have taken place Monday.

He also was arraigned on one count of misdemeanor contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Also charged in the case is Emma Wymer, 40, of South Avenue, on one count of felony child endangering. If convicted, she could get about eight years in prison. She also is charged with misdemeanor contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Williams and Wymer are set for a preliminary hearing at 9:15 a.m. Tuesday.
