Teen says he thwarted armed gas station robbery
YOUNGSTOWN — An Alliance teen reported two males tried to rob him outside of the Gateway Gas Mart on Glenwood Avenue at 9:15 p.m. Friday. But he took a robber’s gun, and then the two males ran away.
The teen, 17, and his girlfriend came from Alliance to buy a phone they saw on an internet site. They were sitting in the car when two teen males approached the car, one with a guns.
The male with the gun hit the victim in the face twice with the gun, and the victim grabbed it. The gun was a BB gun, police said.
