Police blotter: Poland Village

Police activity reported March 29-April 11:

April 11, 12:18 a.m. — John D. Yuhasz, 44, 16651 Shilling Road, Berlin Center, was arrested on a charge of physical control of a vehicle (operating a vehicle while impaired) following a call to the Poland Shell station regarding a possible impaired driver at the pumps.

April 8, 1:32 a.m. — A 15-year-old Austintown girl; three 15-year-old Austintown boys; and a 13-year-old Austintown girl were all issued citations for curfew violations, and their parents were notified following a traffic stop on a vehicle with no license plate light on state Route 170.

April 3, 9:15 p.m. — Dashmel Fernandez Rosa, 22, 58 Crescent Drive, Struthers, was arrested on a charge of possession of drugs (marijuana) and drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop on U.S. 224.

March 30, 10:11 p.m. — Tony A. Dabney, 19, 778 Fairmont Ave., Youngstown, was arrested on a Niles Municipal Court warrant for disorderly conduct following a traffic stop.

March 29, 12:54 p.m. — Unemployment fraud reported by a College Street resident.

Police activity reported March 19-23:

March 23, 6:08 p.m. — A call regarding unruly juveniles was made at Poland Union Elementary School, 30 Riverside Drive, but the subjects and were not found.

March 21, 5:51 p.m. — A report was taken at TCF Bank, 2 South Main St. regarding a missing bank card the cardholder recently used at the ATM, then turned up missing.

3:44 p.m. — Officers awaited fire crews after a home owner attempted to burn downed tree limbs and the fire got out of control at 33 Audubon Lane.

March 19, 1:08 p.m. — False unemployment claims reported by a South Main Street resident.
