The Friendly Squares, a local square dance group, will offer weekly dance lessons starting in September.

The introductory session will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Sept. 12 at the Niles SCOPE Center, 14 E. State St., and will continue on Tuesdays. Each lesson builds upon the previous one and will include learning new steps along with plenty of review and practice.
