Music is free and plentiful this summer

After a year that knocked out nearly all summer park concerts and a second season that left a few communities still on the sidelines, there is no shortage of opportunities to enjoy free music under the sun (hopefully) this summer.

Here’s a rundown of some of the free concert options in the surrounding area with at least one performance available nearly every day between now and mid-to-late-August.

W.D. Packard Concert Band Summer Lawn Concerts

The W.D. Packard Concert Band brings the music outdoors in the summer with outdoor concerts at the south lawn bandshell at Packard Music Hall, 1703 Mahoning Ave. N.W., Warren. The summer season includes performances by the full band as well as the Big Band Sound of Packard, the Packard Dixieland Band and Brass Metropolis, a Chicago tribute band that features members of the Packard band. Warren Farmers Market

Fine Arts Council of Trumbull County will provide free entertainment for the weekly farmers market, which runs from 3 to 5 p.m. Tuesdays on the grounds of the Kinsman House, 303 Mahoning Ave. NW, Warren. Performers are planned every week until October, but only the lineup through June was confirmed by press time.
