South Range, W. Reserve on to Week 11

¯ SOUTH RANGE 36, HUBBARD 13: BEAVER TOWNSHP — The Raiders dominated the line of scrimmage by busting through the Eagles for 305 yards on 50 rushes with Dylan Dominguez leading the way with 12 carries for 155 yards and two scores.

According to joeeitel.com, South Range (7-3, 5-2 Northeast-8) has clinched a playoff spot in Division V, Region 17.

Hubbard (6-4, 4-3) may have lost, but made it to Week 11 in Division IV, Region 17.

Final computer ratings will be announced Sunday.

The Eagles had four turnovers — three fumbles and an interception. Hubbard was held to 193 yards.

¯ WESTERN RESERVE 41, MINERAL RIDGE 0: BERLIN CENTER — Western Reserve rolled past Mineral Ridge thanks to a 34-point second quarter in this MVAC clash.

Jimmy Mayberry ran for 122 yards and two touchdowns on just five carries for the Blue Devils (8-2, 6-1), who earned playoff bid with the victory, according to joeeitel.com. He scored both of his TDs in the second quarter, and Todd Henning (4 carries, 80 yards) added TD runs of 1 and 50 for a 34-0 halftime edge.

Western Reserve amassed 440 total yards and held Mineral Ridge (5-5, 2-5) to 121 total yards.

¯ NILES 45, GIRARD 35: NILES — Zack Leonard had a fantasy football-like numbers on Friday with 113 yards rushing and 13-of-18 for 265 yards with six combined touchdowns as the Red Dragons notch their best record since 2012.

Niles (7-3, 4-3 Northeast-8) had 502 total yards in a game where both teams combined for more than 900 yards.

Morgan Clardy had 32 carries for 161 yards and one touchdown to lead Girard (6-4, 3-4), but the season did not end for last year’s Division IV state runner-up.

The Indians return to the playoffs, clinching the final spot in Division IV, Region 13, according to joeeitel.com.

¯ JACKSON-MILTON 42, SEBRING 0: SEBRING — Ryan Staton threw a 20-yard touchdown, ran for a 10-yard score and caught a 14-yard TD pass as Jackson-Milton (5-5, 2-5 Mahoning Valley Athletic Conference) led 36-0 at halftime to down Sebring (2-8, 0-7).

¯ CAMPBELL 48, NEWTON FALLS 31: NEWTON FALLS — Campbell’s Christian Stores accounted for four touchdowns to help the Red Devils win a All-American Conference Blue Tier slugfest over the Tigers.

Stores ran for two touchdowns and threw for two, completing 7-of-11 passes for 109 yards for Campbell (4-6, 2-4). James Shaffer ran for 99 yards and two TDs on 20 carries. The Red Devils rallied from an early 10-7 deficit, outscoring Newton Falls 41-21 the rest of the way. They ran for 237 yards and five TDs in the game.

NIck Oyster threw for 211 yards and three TDs for the Tigers (2-8, 0-6). He completed 10-of-29 passes. Paul Broadrick led Newton Falls in rushing (38 yards) and receiving, catching five passes for 109 yards and one TD.

¯ GARFIELD 55, VALLEY CHRISTIAN 6: GARRETTSVILLE — The G-Men rolled up a 48-0 halftime lead and 35-0 after one quarter as Garfield rolled its way into the postseason.

The G-Men (9-1, 4-1 Portage Trail Conference, Valley Division) have clinched a home game in Division V, Region 17, according to joeeitel.com.

Carter Bates led Garfield’s rushing game with eight carries for 65 yards. The G-Men had 29 carries for 242 yards.

Tyrone Lindsey led Valley Christian (2-8, 0-5) with 66 yards rushing and 45 passing.
