The Girard Indians, last year’s state runner-up in Division IV, are ranked fourth in D-IV after a 3-0 start. Cincinnati Wyoming, which beat the Indians in the title game, is the No. 1-ranked team.

Springfield, also 3-0, is ranked sixth in Division VI. The Tigers earned a key Week 1 victory over South Range. Coldwater is the top-ranked team in D-VI. In Division II, unbeaten Austintown Fitch (3-0) is slated No. 9. The Falcons face Warren G. Harding on Friday.

Niles (3-0) is No. 10 in Division III. The Red Dragons secured a big victory over Youngstown East on Friday to remain unbeaten.

Teams receiving votes but ranked outside the top 10 are Garfield (D-V), along with Jackson-Milton and Lowellville (D-VII).
