Where are the people we elected to office?

DEAR EDITOR: May I please use this forum to address our representatives? Dear Representatives to the Congress of the United States of America: Americans are suffering because of your gross neglect of duty. DEAR EDITOR: In the early ’70s, I was aboard a U.S. Navy destroyer when it passed through the Bab el Mandeb Strait into the Red Sea at general quarters. So glad Austintown wrote about not getting the newspaper delivered by the post office the day it is supposed to. We are having the same problem. Home delivery stopped in November 2024 and five times the Vindicator came the next day. When I call circulation, I am told it was delivered to the post office. When I call the Boardman post office I am told they did not get it. This is called the “royal runaround.” People don’t want to home deliver newspapers anymore. DEAR EDITOR: Parents today face a challenging balancing act: keeping our kids safe online while ensuring they can access important digital resources. As both a father and youth sports leader in our community, I want Congress to get this right. That’s why I’m concerned about the Kids Off Social Media Act (KOSMA). While it aims to protect young people online, its approach would create more problems than it solves. School choice stories missed the mark

DEAR EDITOR: Two recent articles in The Vindicator reinforce the “us vs them” mentality between public and private schools when it comes to school funding, and in doing so miss an opportunity to elevate the discourse on education in our state. Public schools in Ohio receive money from both state and local governments. DEAR EDITOR: There is currently a Bill in the Ohio House of Representatives that changes the way universities will operate going forward. Mahoning County’s own representative, Al Cutrona, is one of the co-sponsors. Michael Rulli was among those who tried to pass this Bill last year. Then it was known as SB 83.
