Trump’s heartless capitalization

DEAR EDITOR: Donald Trump proved what a shameless, heartless person he personifies during his address to Congress and the nation on March 4. His exploitation of traumatized and suffering families to prove his point that “thousands” of illegal immigrants are rapists and murderers made me sick to my stomach. These victims become victims again as they are paraded in front of the world so they can nod a thank you to Trump, who then looks like their personal hero. Trump is no hero. Social Security may disappear one day

DEAR EDITOR: Will someone please explain how Social Security works? It is not a federal agenda; it is funded by people working, paying their dues. Each generation collects from the last generation. With so many people retiring early — therefore not contributing anymore — of course the funds are dying out. The new generations do not know the concept of Social Security. DEAR EDITOR: How much more are we supposed to endure before things get better? How many more bodies do we have to see on the street before we stand up and take action? Former Mayor Mike Bloomberg of New York had a good plan, stop-and-frisk. This idea was not very popular with the minority population of New York, but it got a lot of illegal guns off the street.
