Autism has become America’s real tragedy

DEAR EDITOR:

I’ve been writing to the editor of the Vindicator for over 20 years about autism and subsequently vaccines. They are connected. There is no conspiracy to that fact. An Autism Mom by the name of Ginger Taylor has been collecting and posting studies to the website Howdovaccinescauseautism.org for years. Take a look and see the evidence for yourself.

A March 25 editorial here in the Vindicator prompted me to write early this year before the actual start of Autism Awareness month, which begins in April.

The editorial was about getting vaccinated for measles because one case of measles in Ashtabula County triggered media outlets to spread panic. It quotes Ohio Health Department Director Bruce Vanderhoff “This disease can be very serious, but it is preventable.” Measles is a self-limiting illness. With proper nutrition and Vitamin A it will run its course. Older people know this as most had measles as children. You know what a serious disease is? Autism. And it can be deadly. A March 12 article in Cincinnati.com (Tragic year’: Record number of kids with autism drowned in 2024. Experts don’t know why) tells how 69 children with autism wandered away from safety and were found dead in a body of water last year. SIXTY-NINE. The story was updated a few days ago to say five children with autism have already died in a watery grave this year. Most of these children were non-speaking, meaning they couldn’t talk. Imagine going through life unable to talk. Where was the media except for this lone reporter on this national tragedy?

Don’t talk to us about measles until you are outraged over and talking about the deaths that are occurring in children with autism in plain sight. There is something very wrong with our society when one case of measles trumps 69 dead children.
