DEAR EDITOR: Donald Trump to me has been and IS the worst president in my lifetime. He’s turned allies against us. He seemingly is ruining our economy. His immigration policies have stirred lawsuits. Invited Elon Musk to the White House to destroy almost every agency that was established to help Americans. Has RFK Jr. ruining our health care and IGNORING science. DEAR EDITOR: The world is mourning the loss of a holy man, a good man, Pope Francis. He was a universal pope. His humility, simplicity, compassion, kindness and love of humanity touched billions of lives all over the world, regardless of their faith or religious affiliations. He declares a tax is not a tax (tariffs), a violation of one person’s First Amendment rights is not a violation (of all our rights; it is), he “couldn’t care less” about businesses (yours) failing thanks to his tariffs. DEAR EDITOR: When they closed Sheet & Tube, Delphi Packard, Lordstown, Copperweld, the CEOs of these companies are the ones to protest against. Look for a label that says, “Made in the USA.” We grow cotton and export it to China, Vietnam, Turkey, Pakistan and Mexico, what tariffs were they paying? Five percent. DEI is an important aspect of schooling

DEAR EDITOR: We oppose the mandate from the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce, which compels school superintendents to certify compliance with the federal mandate that they are following federal civil rights laws and ending any discriminating diversity, equity and inclusion practices. We believe the mandate is an intimidation tactic by threatening to withhold funding (Title I and Title II) from the school districts if they don’t comply.
