On Sept. 27, year 3 of the deer hunt in Millcreek Park will begin. 402 permits have been issued with each hunter allowed to kill six deer and bring along a hunting partner. The USDA survey shows that there are only 116 deer in Millcreek Park. Our deer will soon be gone, mothers and babies born this spring will be killed. Immigrant children should not be sent away and hurt

DEAR EDITOR: Mill Creek Park is a treasure that Volney Rodgers gave to Mahoning County residents. It is a treasure so exquisite that we will never be able to replace it. It is a jewel that I enjoyed, you are enjoying, our grandparents enjoyed. It was like walking into heaven, with the friendly deer, the little animals, the greenery that encapsulates our hearts.
