I see a judicial candidate’s sign declaring that Jesus is his savior, and Trump his president. Somehow I just can’t imagine Jesus endorsing someone whose views echo those of a person who recently said of a political enemy, “I’m glad he’s dead.” Have ye no shame? — Youngstown Pete Hegseth demonstrates personal lethality by firing senior generals. He may yet shoot himself in the foot by attributing bombing in Iran to 47’s “fearless war time leadership.” I bet whatever hair product he uses will catch fire during a press conference. Speed cameras’ purpose is to help generate income

DEAR EDITOR: Per the Trib article, March 26, speed cameras are an ancillary service, meaning their sole purpose is to generate additional income, says Chief John Freeman, Girard. The chief further says while the camera program does help slow down traffic, doing that is not as important as being on the road patrolling (stopping speeders) and responding to calls and vehicle crashes (caused by speeders). DEAR EDITOR: Let’s face it … (in my eyes) Trump is a lousy, even dangerous president. I am well aware he has many followers with their own reasons for voting for him and I can respect that, but for myself I still say he is dangerous. DEAR EDITOR: I have always been a never Trumper but not just because of dislike. I have voted Republican or Democrat depending on the leadership I see in the candidate and the times our country is going through. People who want communism can then move there. They can experience, first hand, just what that is.
