Stimulus funds could assist local charities
DEAR EDITOR:
With all the stimulus money being offered, wouldn’t it be good for those of us who don’t need the extra help to donate some or all of it to the organizations that serve the people who do need it?
Organizations like the Salvation Army, St. Vincent de Paul Society, Second Harvest Food Bank, Rescue Mission and many more are stretched to the max trying to meet the requests of those in the community whose needs are great.
Churches, too, could use the extra help to take care of others’ needs as they struggle to take care of their own. You won’t regret this.
