Janet Ostrowski 1941-2026
BOARDMAN — Janet Rohrbaugh Ostrowski died Sunday, July 12, 2026, at Aventura at Assumption Village in North Lima, following a prolonged illness.
She was born Sept. 5, 1941, in Youngstown, to Howard J. Rohrbaugh and Doris Evans Rohrbaugh.
Janet graduated from Youngstown’s South High School in 1960. Among her first employers were Loblaws Grocery Store and McNicholas Transportation.
She attended Buckeye College of Massotherapy and received a license to practice in 1982. She worked in that capacity at the central YMCA in downtown Youngstown. Janet soon opened her private practice, Harmony and Health Medical Message, which celebrated 30 years of service before she retired.
Besides helping her clients, Janet greatly enjoyed outdoor activities such as bicycling, hiking and running.
She leaves behind her elder brother, Paul of Bountiful, Utah; her eldest nephew, Paul, and his wife, Lisa Rohrbaugh, of New Middletown; nephew, John, and his wife, Judy Rohrbaugh, also of Bountiful, Utah; cousins, Kathy Giampetro and Christine Cunningham; as well as many friends.
Janet was preceded in death by her parents; her elder brother, Howard J. Rohrbaugh Jr. and his wife, Mona Hidasy Rohrbaugh; her younger sister, Nancy; sister-in-law, Marilyn Lowry Rohrbaugh; and her youngest nephew, James Patrick Rohrbaugh.
Per Janet’s wishes, there are no calling hours or services.
