Nicholas ‘Tom’ Miller 1949-2024

HUBBARD — Nicholas “Tom” Miller, 75, passed away at home Thursday, May 23, 2024.

Tom was born April 18, 1949, in Sharon, Pa., a son of Charles and Lois Miller.

He was a 1967 graduate of Hubbard High School.

Tom was an ironworker, millwright and mechanic. He changed the cables on the Golden Gate Bridge for four years. He was a member of Ironworkers Local 207 in Youngstown.

Tom was a veteran of the United States Army.

He enjoyed machines, cars and fixing things, and loved spending time with his family and dogs.

He will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by his family, which includes his wife, the former Jacqueline Rexroad, whom he married Feb. 20, 1984; his children, Mercedes A. Pilger and Nicholas C. Miller, both of Hubbard; his granddaughter, Findley; and his dog, Luna.

His parents preceded him in death.

There will be services at 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 29, 2024, with calling hours prior to the service from 5 to 7 p.m. at Stewart-Kyle Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made in Tom’s memory to Hubbard VFW Post 3767, 710 W. Liberty St., Hubbard, OH 44425.
