Roger D. ‘Buzz’ Dull 1932-2024

LIBERTY — Roger D. “Buzz” Dull, 91, passed away peacefully, Thursday, April 25, 2024, at Heritage Manor in Youngstown.

Buzz was born May 28, 1932, in Warren, a son of Delbert F. and Mary F. Bascom Dull.

He was a Prudential Insurance agent for many years, retiring in 1985, and was a veteran of the United States Army.

Buzz was a member of Church Hill United Methodist Church and sang in the choir.

Buzz played the upright bass in various bands, loved dancing and singing, and traveling to Branson and Las Vegas. He also enjoyed golfing and loved spending time with his family.

His wife the former Beverly A. Begeot whom he married Feb. 7, 1953, passed away Jan. 22, 2017.

Buzz will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by his family: his daughters, Vicki (David) Smallwood of Vienna, Veronica (Larry) Asay of Meadville, Pa., Valerie (Paul) Harvey of Hubbard, and Virginia Gorby of Alliance; eight grandchildren, Fred Whitacre, Don Whitacre, David Smallwood Jr., Kristen Tabor, Melanie Jaroszewicz, Amy Solomon, Jenny Augustine and Jeffrey Gorby; and 16 great-grandchildren.

He also leaves his brother, Dr. David Dull, of Liberty Township.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife; his brothers Ronald Dull and Lee Dull; and his sister, DeAnn “Sissy” Jackson.

There will be services held at noon Monday, April 29, 2024, with calling hours prior to the service from 10 a.m. to noon, at Church Hill United Methodist Church.

Buzz will be laid to rest in Green Haven Memorial Gardens.
