YOUNGSTOWN — The Minority Business Assistance Center at the Youngstown Business Incubator will host a certification workshop 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 18 at the YBI, 241 W. Federal St., Youngstown.

The event, open to minority- and women-owned, veteran-friendly and socially and economically disadvantaged business owners, also will include a competition for a $500 grant from 717 Credit Union.

For business owners who have owned and operated their business for over a year, the MBAC assists with applying for state Minority Business Enterprise, Women Business Enterprise, Encouraging Diversity Growth and Equity Program and Veteran-Friendly Business Enterprise certifications.
