Carmel Carson 1924-2023

Carmel was born Nov. 16, 1924, in Girard, a daughter to the late Joseph and Anna Colucci Carson. She was a medical administrative assistant for Dr. Zeller and Dr. Enyeart for over 40 years. Carmel was a lifelong parishioner of St. Rose Church in Girard and enjoyed volunteering her time at the church.

Carmel enjoyed visiting the beaches of Florida, playing cards and, most of all, visiting and spending time with her family and friends.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her nephew, Mark (Erin) Masluk of Canton, Ga.; her sister, Mary Jane Barbati; along with several nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents, Carmel was preceded in death by her sisters, Anna Drotar, Theresa Cardiero and Josephine Faro; and brothers, Frank, Jimmy, Johnny, Lou and Tony Carson.

The family would like to thank Jean Cook and her family for their care and compassion that was given to Carmel throughout her days.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 17, 2023, at St. Rose Church in Girard, with calling hours one hour prior to the service. Carmel will be laid to rest in Girard City Cemetery.
