John R. Jones 1936-2021

STOW — John Richard “Dick” Jones, 85, died Sept. 15, 2021.

Born in Youngstown, he was a graduate of The Rayen School and Miami University.

Dick, a Stow resident since 1971, was an avid golfer, actively involved with Holy Family Parish and retired as a sales manager after many years in the steel industry.

Preceded in death by his wife, Mary Patricia; parents, John Frederick and Dorothy L. Flower Jones; and sister, Lenore Warning, he is survived by daughter, Meg (Chris) Haines; sons, Chris (Amy) and Brad (Ellen) Jones; grandchildren, Molly, Nicholas, Mary Kate and Patrick; brother-in-law, Edward (Mary Lou) Casey; brother-in-law, Jack Warning; numerous nieces and nephews; and cousin, Betsy Jones.

Friends are invited to Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Road, Stow, for visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday. A Mass of the Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Holy Family Catholic Church, 3179 Kent Road, Stow, OH 44224. Burial will be in Silver Springs Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, alz.org, or The Village of St. Edward, vsecommunities.networkforgood.com.
