Wilma J. Pitt 1938-2020

NORTH JACKSON — Wilma J. Pitt, 82, went to be with the Lord Jesus on Saturday, Nov. 28, 2020, at St. Elizabeth Boardman Hospital, surrounded by her family.

Wilma was born May 6, 1938, in Dry Hill, Pa., the daughter of Henry Walter and Sarah Torrence Robaugh.

Wilma was a graduate of Scottdale High School and attended Tabernacle Evangelical Presbyterian Church. She and her husband were avid bowlers and had been members of numerous leagues, including those at Wedgewood and Camelot Lanes. She also enjoyed beating her husband at pool (and everyone else who dared), taking care of her yard, and her wonderful memories of farming with her father. She will be especially remembered for her love of family and the joy she had spending time with them.

Her husband, William G. Pitt , whom she married Oct. 26, 1957, died April 13, 2018.

She is survived by her son, Doug Pitt of North Jackson; daughter, Darla (Scott) Hadley of Boardman; her pride and joys, her six grandchildren, Jarryd, Jeremy and Jonathan Pitt, and Mark, Nathan and Caitlyn Hadley; and sister, Bertha (Roy) Hess. She is also survived by in-laws, Colleen and Marynee Robaugh, Patricia Lopes, Henry and Suzy Gross, and Cary and Gloria Pitt.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her elder sister, Naomi (Robert) Blackstone; by two brothers, Geary and Glenn Robaugh; and brother-in-law, Alvin Lopes.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 5, 2020, at Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Jackson-Milton Chapel, 439 Salem-Warren Road, North Jackson. Friends may call 9 to 10:45 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Because of the current health threat related to the coronavirus, the Pitt family and funeral home staff will be practicing social distancing and proper health protocols. If you are unable to attend, Wilma’s family understands and thanks you for your prayers.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that material tributes take the form of donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
