Erica L. Roden 1983-2020

Erica was born in Boardman, May 14, 1983, the daughter of Michael P. and the late Susan R. DeFrank Ranelli.

On Oct. 15, 2005, Erica was united in marriage to Richard A. Roden, who survives.

Erica was a 2001 graduate of Boardman High School and the University of Phoenix, receiving an associate’s degree. She enjoyed photography and writing.

Erica’s passion was her commitment to her work as a dog trainer and rescuer of special-needs dogs. Erica was currently in the process of completing her lifelong dream of opening Echoes Landing: The Underdog Rescue.

Erica was a devoted wife and mother who will be deeply missed by her husband, Richard; two daughters, Olivia and Karlee; her father, Michael P. Green (Patricia Kaplan); brother, Christopher (Marcia) Green; grandparents, Richard and Linda Green, and Robert and Barb “Nanny” Thomas. Erica’s presence will be missed by her faithful canine companions Toby, Ecko, Piper, Jericho and Canaan.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Susan DeFrank Ranelli; brother, Jon Green; and her great-grandparents.

A celebration of Erica’s life will be held noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, July 11, 2020, at Lane Funeral Home-Mineral Ridge Chapel, 1350 Niles Canfield Road, Mineral Ridge.
