Rick Allen Dew 1959-2019

Rick was born Sept. 1, 1959, in Youngstown, Ohio, to Gerald (Jerry) Ray and Lucille Dew.

Rick graduated from Poland Seminary High School in 1977 and continued his education at Youngstown State University, where he graduated with a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering.

While at YSU, Rick was president of the Sigma Chi Fraternity. After graduating from YSU, he worked for Wean Industries. During his work career, he worked in the sales field. After living in the Youngstown area, Rick relocated to Lakeland, Fla. where he has been a resident since that time.

During his work career, Rick traveled all over the world and had attended Bike Week in Germany. Rick had received his pilot’s license and enjoyed other activities such as sky diving and especially loved riding his Harley with some great friends. Rick also enjoyed attending local car shows in Lakeland, Fla.

Rick will forever be remembered by his parents, Gerald (Diane) Dew of Green Valley, Ariz., and Lucille Dew (Paul Lenhart) of Poland, Ohio; by his brother and sisters, Pamela (Ron) Moseley of Tampa, Fla., Brian (Kristin) Dew of Canfield, Ohio, Beth Dew (Tom Ervin) of Warrenton, Va.; and his stepbrothers and sisters, Kim Little of Austintown, Ohio, Bill Houser of Poestenkill, N.Y., Jim (Ivy) Houser of Hubbard, Ohio and Suzanne Houser of Phoenix, Ariz.

Rick was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Charles and Frances (Kirkbride) Dew; his maternal grandparents, Clarence W. and Helen (McKnight) Lealand and Florence Eva Schoonover (Howard) Lealand as well as several of his aunts, uncles and cousins.

Rick will also be forever remembered by his numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at a later date in Youngstown, Ohio.
