WARREN — Trumbull County commissioners honored Nick Strimbu Inc. for its 100th anniversary of providing trucking services in Trumbull County during Wednesday’s regular meeting. Strimbu Sr., working with his brothers, began hauling building materials across the county and Ohio during a period of rapid industrial and residential growth. Liberty sidewalk project to pick up in coming weeks

LIBERTY — Approximately four months have passed since construction crews paused work on one of the township’s several infrastructure projects, but work is set to resume soon, according to Liberty’s road superintendent. Man gets 5-6 years for shooting into house

Staff report YOUNGSTOWN — A man who was arrested and pleaded guilty to shooting into a home on the city’s West Side was sentenced by visiting Judge William McGinty on Wednesday. Jonathan Spikes, 48, was sentenced to five-to-six years in prison following a guilty plea to one charge of improperly discharging a firearm at or into a habitation or a school safety zone, a second-degree felony.
