WHAT: Board of Education meeting Tuesday
PRESENT: Gary Bednarik, Beth Donofrio, Judy Gozur, Tony Kelly and Tina Tsagaris
The board:
•Approved financial reports, payment of bills, and Then and Now Certificates as presented in the Treasurer's Report.
• Approved the district's financial forecast for submission to the Ohio Department of Education.
•Approved the following repayments to the General Fund: Class of 2026, $436.57; athletics, $31,868.09; early childhood education, $72,250.60; Title IV Part B 21st Century, $80,907.61; IDEA-B Special Education, $980.76; Title I, $36,744.40; Title IV-A, $9,743; Title II-A, $272.23; and Appalachian Regional Commission Community Grant Program, $912,113.81.
•Approved the following donations: $5,000 from Deland McCullough to Campbell City Schools and $1,250 from the Ohio High School Athletic Association to Campbell Athletics.
•The following donations to the high school junior varsity and varsity cheerleaders: $350 from Gator Built Home Renovations (Kyriacos Davis), $350 from Wholesale Fireworks Corp (Lori Naples), $250 from Ace East Pawn Brokers, $250 from Crickets Bar (Don Holovatick), $250 from Loukouma Greek Donuts, $250 from Niki Does Hair (Niki Davis), $145 from Bradford Harris, $100 from Angelo's Auto Sales (Angelo DeFrank), $75 from Katherine Burk, $75 from Care Excellence LLC (Carletta Williams), $75 from Faith Automotive (Steven Summerville), $75 from Campbell Councilwoman Mary L. Janek, $75 from LaTrobe Specialty Steel Employees (Anthony Jones), $75 from Precision Property Maintenance, LLC, $75 from Vic's Roofing, Siding & More (Victor Sanchez) and $75 from We R 1 Collectibles Ebay (Jason & Tamika Dawan).
•Approved an agreement between Campbell City Schools and Republic Services for solid waste disposal for a period of 36 months beginning Aug. 13, 2026 in the amount of $295.20 per month plus a one-time delivery fee in the amount of $200.
•Approved the following appointments: Nadyne Stallsmith as substitute teacher at $150 per day; Amira Kamal as student monitor at $13.91 per hour, James McCormick as student monitor at $13.91 per hour, Michelle Martinez as volunteer chaperone and Mary Janek as junior class adviser at $1,465.59.
•Approved the resignation of Zuleyka Medero Gonzalez as a cook's helper and the resignation of Cody Stoll from the supplemental position of junior class adviser.
