WHAT: Board of Education meeting Monday

PRESENT: David Malone, Janine Hamilton, Adam Earnhardt, Hans Kirr and John Simon

The board:

•Approved an electricity purchase program with the Ohio Schools Council and the district.

• Approved then-and-now certificates for invoices from The Flippen Group for $3,500; McKinley Lanes for $3,000; Rohan Floor Covering for $6,000, and DriveMind for $4,308.

•Approved participating in and budgeting the Kindergarten Readiness Boot Camp for $45,000 as an education grant program.

•Approved the creation of the revenue and expense fund for FY26 Kindergarten Readiness Boot Camp.

•Approved declaring a list of desktop computers, Chromebooks and desktop printers obsolete and authorized Superintendent Brian Knight to determine future use, sale and / or disposal.

•Approved granting continuing contracts to Hope Collins and Gianna Guerrieri.

•Approved three-year administrative contracts to high school Principal Thomas Zetts and Assistant Principal Robert Housel, effective Aug. 1, 2026, through July 31, 2029.

•Approved a one-year limited contract for school psychologist Brittany Gebhart, July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027.

•Approved a one-year limited contract for registered nurse Nicole Ulrich, effective July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027.

•Accepted Meriel DeJesus’ resignation as an intervention assistant, effective April 3, 2026.

•Approved Teresa Long as a K-12 summer school intervention assistant, effective June 1, 2026, through June 26, 2026, at her 2025-26 contracted hourly rate.

•Accepted a $1,800 donation from Shawn Collins and Margaret Mellinger for the Liberty Robotics Club.

•Accepted a $1,000 donation from Mellinger’s Gasoline Equipment Service LLC for the Liberty Robotics Club.

•Accepted a $1,000 donation from Valantine Roofing for the Liberty Robotics Club.

•Accepted a $500 donation from CR Electric Inc. for the Liberty Robotics Club.

•Accepted a $2,000 donation from Charles A. Stevens for the Liberty Robotics Club.
