Valley autism organization receives $50,000 from foundations

The Autism Society of Mahoning Valley has received $50,000 in grant dollars from multiple funds of the Community Foundation of the Mahoning Valley to support programs and services for individuals with autism and their families in the region.

The funding includes:

● $20,000 from the Western Reserve Health Foundation, a supporting organization of the Community Foundation of the Mahoning Valley, to support behavioral health access and family support for individuals with autism in the Mahoning Valley.

● $10,000 from the William Swanston Charitable Fund, a component fund of the CFMV, to support Building Pathways to Thrive: Autism-Specific Support for Children and Families.

● $10,000 from the Trumbull Memorial Health Foundation, a supporting organization of the CFMV, to support behavioral health access and family support for individuals with autism in the Mahoning Valley.

● $10,000 through the CFMV General Grant Program to provide organizational operating support.

These combined investments will allow ASMV to expand access to essential resources, enhance behavioral health support and strengthen programming that serves individuals and families across Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana counties.

“This funding comes at a pivotal time for our organization and the families we serve,” said ASMV Executive Director Jodi Glass.

“It allows us to meet individuals where they are on their journey — from diagnosis through every stage of life — with the support, connections and resources they need to thrive. We are deeply grateful to the Community Foundation and its fund partners for their investment in our mission and in the well-being of our community,” she said.

The Autism Society of Mahoning Valley provides year-round programming including family support, social connections, advocacy and inclusive community events designed to improve quality of life for individuals on the autism spectrum.

Starting at $3.23/week.
