The Ohio Department of Transportation has announced the following projects that will lead to road closures and adjustments in Mahoning and Trumbull counties:

MAHONING COUNTY

Interstate 680 pavement replacement, Youngstown:

• The ramp from Mahoning Avenue eastbound to I-680 southbound is closed permanently. Motorists wishing to access I-680 southbound will use Glenwood Avenue to High Street.

• I-680 between state Route 193 and South Avenue has occasional lane restrictions through mid-April.

• I-680 northbound between South Avenue and Route 193 is closed through summer 2027. The detour is U.S. Route 62 to U.S. Route 422 to Route 193.

• I-680 north ramp to Route 193 is closed. The detour is Route 62/state Route 7 to U.S. 422 to Route 193.

• Marshall Street to the I-680 north ramp is closed. The detour is Glenwood Avenue to Mahoning Avenue to Belle Vista Avenue.

• I-680 north ramp to Glenwood Avenue/Mahoning Avenue is closed. The detour is South Avenue to Front Street to Marshall Street.

• Market Street ramp to I-680 north is closed. The detour is Woodland Avenue to Hadnet Drive to South Avenue to U.S. 62/Route 7 to U.S. 422 to Route 193.

• Woodland Avenue ramp to I-680 north is closed. The detour is Woodland Avenue to Hadnet Drive to South Avenue to U.S. 62/Route 7 to U.S. 422 to Route 193.

• The U.S. 62 west/Route 7 ramp south to I- 680 north is closed. The detour is Woodland Avenue to Hadnet Drive to South Avenue to U.S. 62/Route 7 to U.S. 422 to Route 193.

Interstate 680 noise wall installation, Boardman and Youngstown:

• I-680 northbound has various lane restrictions from just north of U.S. Route 224 to state Route 170. Estimated completion is late May.

Interstate 680 resurfacing, Boardman and Beaver townships:

• I-680 from just south of U.S. 224 to the Pennsylvania Turnpike has various lane restrictions for pavement repairs and resurfacing. Estimated completion is late July.

Wick Avenue bridge deck replacement, Youngstown:

• U.S. 422 under Wick Avenue has various lane restrictions for bridge repairs. Estimated completion is late August.

U.S. 224 bridge replacement, Canfield Township:

• U.S. 224 over Interstate 76/Ohio Turnpike is reduced to one lane in each direction through fall for a bridge replacement being performed by the Ohio Turnpike and Infrastructure Commission.

TRUMBULL COUNTY

Interstate 80 in Hubbard Township:

• I-80 eastbound just west of the Pennsylvania State line has various lane restrictions for a pavement replacement project being overseen by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. Motorists should expect delays in this area.

State Route 46 intersection improvements, Howland:

• The state Route 46 and East Market Street intersection has various lane restrictions with traffic maintained by flaggers for the addition of turn lanes. Estimated completion is October 2027.

State Route 193 resurfacing, Johnston & Gustavus:

• Beginning Monday, state Route 193 between state Route 88 and the Ashtabula County line will have various lane restrictions for pavement repairs through early May.
