The board:
• Approved financial reports, list of bills and expenses paid, and payroll for March.
• Passed a resolution declaring the necessity exists of a contract with TEMA Roofing, outside of statutory competitive bidding procedures, for the repair and replacement of the shingles.
• Approved the transfer of Ashley Hamilton from grades 7-12 social studies teacher to grades 5-6 social studies teacher.
• Rescinded the 2026-27 varsity football supplemental contract previously approved at the Jan. 14 meeting for Drew McLaughlin.
• Approved an agreement with the United Way of Youngstown and the Mahoning Valley for a prekindergarten summer program in which United Way will reimburse the district $4,500 to support the operating of the program.
• Approved the Class of 2026 graduates as submitted.
• Approved the adoption of new social studies online textbooks and supplemental resources for grades 5 and 6.
• Approved an agreement for Mary Ann Davis to serve as a literacy coach/consultant for up to 60 days during the 2026-27 school year. She will continue to be paid with Title IIA funds.
• Approved a service agreement with the Educational Service Center of Eastern Ohio.
• Approved a five-year contract for Tracie Parry as the K-12 principal starting with the 2026-27 school year.
• Approved the following limited contracts for the 2026-27 school year: Elizabeth Williams, grades 5 and 6 math teacher, $42,716; Delaney Finsley grades 5 and 6 English/language arts teacher, $42,716; Samuel Faber, school counselor, $46,133; Thomas Caputo, grades 7-12 social studies teacher, $42,716; Angela Higgins, Success by 6 teacher, $25 per hour for summer session; Laura Macejko, Success by Six aide, $16.50 per hour for summer session; and Michael Mistovich, grounds maintenance on an as-needed basis, $15.83 per hour.
• Approved the following athletic appointments: Elaine Clark, grade 8 volleyball; Robert Ballone Sr., athletic director; William Stanton, assistant athletic director; Mathew Lucido, assistant football coach; Eric Grow, head high school indoor track coach; Carrine Esenwein, head bowling coach; and Drew McLaughlin, varsity football coach.
• Hired Sharon Wilson and Susan Shuluga as substitute nurses at $18.31 per hour:
